How your price is set
Your price depends on the shape of your return: your filing status, whether you have dependents, and whether your return is simple, standard or complex. You see the full price at checkout before you pay anything.
A state return is added only for each state you file in, and a session with a tax expert is added only if you choose one. A federal-only return never pays a state fee.
